7/27/24 – PVGP Historics at Pitt Race

7/27/24 – PVGP Historics at Pitt Race

Directly following our regular meet at Generoasta Coffee this Saturday, July 27th, at noon we will migrate to Pittsburgh International Race Complex to watch the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Historic Races. This is a race event for the more powerful classic race cars that cannot participate in the PVGP race at Schenley Park the following weekend. The legendary GT40 turns 60 this year, and a grand reunion is planned in conjunction with the PVGP Historics. This gathering will feature original GT40 race cars, recreations, and modern-day versions like the Ford GT on display and racing on track!

I ask that everyone obey all traffic laws and join the group drive at your own risk. For those not familiar with the route to Pitt Race, I ask that you bring a GPS with the address ready as it will be impossible to keep all of the vehicles together on the drive.

Once we arrive, we will need to stop at the gate and pay $30/person gate fee ($25 in advance) and $10/vehicle donation to park in the Water Tower Car Corral Parking. We will all park together as part of the car show by the water tower. Aside from the car show, there will be many great races, charity rides, go karts, and more. There will also be food vendors at the event. Check out the links below for more details!

If you are considering attending, I highly recommend that you complete the event waiver linked below now to speed up your entry past the gate – even if you decide not to prepay.
